We are located in the panhandle of Nebraska, just north of Chimney Rock and Courthouse Rock on the Oregon Trail! Our ranch is easy to find…just 14 miles northwest of Bridgeport or 10 miles northeast of Bayard.
We have been raising performance bred Quarter Horses for almost half a century and have four generations in the horse business. We are quarter horse breeders and trainers and have shown horses in racing, halter and performance. Presently our interests lie in the timed, cattle, roping events.
In the 1960’s we decided to start setting up a specific breeding program aimed at producing not just good looking horses but athletes. Our first stallion, Red Trouble, was an AQHA Champion with points in reining, calf roping and team roping. Through the years we have stacked the pedigree with performance upon performance horses such as Piggin String 2, Sabre 2 AAA and Triplechic Te 90 SI. These bloodlines are now included in our broodmare band.
In the 70’s and 80’s we moved from show events to the rodeo arena and began trying to raise the best rope horses available anywhere. That included adding speed while keeping the type and disposition of foundation quarter horses.
